Kahramaa launches e-services for consumers

DOHA KAHRAMAA launched its ‘Customer Oriented Utility’ services in Doha on Tuesday.

These include the launch of a mobile application for iPhone users, for other smartphone users, registering suggestions and complaints through the mobile phone app, downloading various utility forms and 40 frequently asked questions (FAQs).

Customers will now have access to information of electricity bill amount, due date and others by e-mail and SMS by registering on Kahramaa’s website – www.km.qa. While the five different services announced on occasion will available to registered customers Wednesday onwards, the paperless invoice service by SMS and e-mail will be available April 1 onwards.

Besides these services, customers can pay their bills at Qatar National Bank and Ooredoo kiosks.

In second phase, likely to be launched in the third quarter of 2013, Kahramaa may accept tenders and its related formalities through e-services.
