DOHA IN view of their recent collaboration with Qatar’s noted luxury jewellery retailers, Al-Majed Jewellery, high-flying Swiss watchmaker IWC Schaffhausen has made a big impact at the 10th Doha jewellery and watches exhibition showcasing its flight simulator.

The simulator gives first hand experience of a pilot to the visitors.

The Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar Top Gun comes with a wealth of features that will send the adrenaline levels of watch lovers soaring. They include the IWC-manufactured 51614- calibre movement with highperformance Pellaton winding system that builds up a 7- day power reserve.

This efficient movement drives multiple watch making complications. Apart from displays for the date, day and month, the perpetual calendar has a four-digit year display that takes into account all the leap years in the Gregorian calendar until the year 2100.

All these displays can be easily adjusted with the crown and advance automatically.

The moon phase display represents the position of the moon in the northern and southern hemispheres.

Highlighting the importance of the Qatari market, IWC’s Regional Brand Manager, Maxime Ferté said, “IWC is considerably growing in this region and notably in Qatar. We are thrilled to be participating in the Doha jewellery and watches exhibition thanks to the kind invitation of the Al Majed family.

Qatar is witnessing a booming economy made of a clientèle with refined taste. We look forward to a successful development here.” Speaking out on the collaboration, Jamil al Majed, Vice Chairman of Al Majed Jewellery said: “We are very happy to be announcing our partnership with IWC at this special platform and national phenomenon for watches and jewellery, the Doha Exhibition. IWC matches Al Majed Jewellery’s ambitions to endow the Qatari luxury taste with timeless designs and quality that we trust will be positively welcomed and appreciated by our selective clientèle.”
