DOHA ITALIAN spirit, culture, heritage, excellence, details and modernity are all elements embodied in the Poltrona Frau Design Centre Showroom, which opened on Thursday at Qatar’s luxurious shopping hub, The Pearl-Qatar.
In collaboration with CDC, the new Poltrona Frau Design Centre, distributor for world renowned luxury furniture by the brands of the Poltrona Frau Group: Poltrona Frau, Cassina and Cappellini, bring a new standard in luxury interior design to Qatar, offering design solutions for residential, commercial and hospitality clients.
“Qatar is a rapidly growing country and its development is based on the criteria of quality and high lifestyle standards and taste,” said Peter Sholy, General Manager – Business Development at CDC.
Coming from solid Italian origins but with an international reach, the three brands are recognised as true narrators throughout the world for the values associated with the design and production of Italian-made goods.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Enrico Raggi De Marini, EMEA market director of Poltrona Frau Group explained that one of the reasons behind their success is that they address the future without ever forgetting the past.

Sandro was showcasing the making of a leather couch at the opening ceremony to give visitors an idea of the materials used and the time and attention it requires him to create the finest details.
“I have been working in the factory in Italy for the past 31 years hand making every piece of furniture with care and using only the same natural material that was first used when these brands were created.” The CDC collaboration with the design center has already taken significant steps in the Qatari market having worked on prestigious projects for Qatar Foundation, QNB and CBQ, offering quality products created by their three designer brands.
