Tasweeq eyes 50% Qatarisation by 2015

DOHA QATAR International Petroleum Marketing Company Ltd. (Tasweeq), which is participating in Qatar Career Fair 2013 as a Gold exhibitor in the Energy and Industry sector, aims at achieving 50 percent Qatarisation by the end of 2015.

Saad al Kuwari, Chief Executive Officer, Tasweeq said, “Tasweeq regards Qatar Career Fair as an ideal platform to meet promising national graduates and professionals who could be inducted into Tasweeq’s workforce, in line with Tasweeq recruitment needs.

Tasweeq seeks to train and develop these graduates into world-class professionals with the right business acumen to market Qatar’s petroleum products of crude oil, condensates, refined products and LPG globally.” Al Kuwari added, “As Tasweeq completes five years of successful operations, Tasweeq’s Qatarisation strategy, adopted by top management, continues to progress successfully under the guidance and support from the Minister of Energy & Industry and Tasweeq Chairman HE Dr Mohammed bin Saleh al Sada,.

Tasweeq has achieved 42 percent Qatarisation target and aims to reach 50 percent by the end of 2015, which is in line with Qatar National Vision 2030. In addition, Tasweeq’s Executive Management has already achieved 47 percent Qatarisation.

Commenting on this strategy, Abdulla al Abdulmalek, Tasweeq’s Executive Director of Administration said, “Tasweeq introduced the Graduate Development Programme in 2008 to train and develop promising national graduates and candidates in marketing hydrocarbons such as crude oil, condensates and refined products. We also offer our Summer Internship Programme to train Qatari students and absorb them as Tasweeq employees.” Tasweeq (stand number EI G-4) encourages visitors and prospective graduates to approach the stand and know more about the company and its activities.
