Al Meera to offer discount on 650 items in Ramadan

AL Meera plans to offer about 650 points to discounted and subsidised prices during the holy month of Ramadan, a top company official said.

"This year the company plans to more items at discounted prices compared to last year, Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Mohammed Nasser al-Qahtani told reporters during a visit to the new outlet Al Meera on Nuaijia Mall.

According to Qahtani, last year the company offered discounts on about 518 items during Ramadan which this year and 650 items be increased. "Some items will offer less than cost, and not not should be determined by the Ministry of industry and trade," he said.

"These offers are Ramadan gifts for citizens and Al Meera customers.

"And this year we plan to do some deals on meat products too," said the Al Meera Deputy CEO.

Qahtain added Al Meera now has about 33 branches and shops and offer premium services to customers.

He said that at present about 600 products are sold under brand Al Meera and efforts are on to the figure to reach 1000 by year end.

Talk about the new provision for Naujia Mall, Qahtani said that it is built on international specifications, and has come in Al Meera new interior design, creating a more convenient and unforgettable shopping experience.

"Our expansion plan will benefit everyone in the country: shareholders and customers alike," Qahtani add said Qatar has always been and will always be our primary market.

The Al Meera shop in Naujia follows the opening of two more convenience stores inaugurated in the first quarter of this year. Al Meera opened in Beverly Hills 3 compound in Al Waab, which despite being a convenience store, the prices and the quality of the products that customers in all find Meera hypermarkets.

Meera also convince All new store on Sealine is now is located at the entrance of sealine resort to the new permanent location, after three years of having a seasonal winter camp store at Sealine, this new shop will serve campers and visitors in the area all year around.

"Our expansion plans involve more than just increasing our retail space and also requires product offerings to our customers.

A number of deals with international and regional companies signed this year will see more products on our shelves for our customers, "said Qahtani.

In addition to opening new outlets, old Al Meera outlets also are converted to the new and innovative concept, a modern design tailored for the Qatari market by international design firms, he added.
