DOHA HAMAD Medical Corporation (HMC)’s Paediatric Complex Care Clinic has been established for taking care of children with medically complex conditions.
The initiative comes in partnership with SickKids International.
As part of the programme, every child will have a care plan highlighting his/her needs and the healthcare sub-specialty teams involved in the treatment.
This is an electronic and written document functioning as a ‘medical passport’ for information to be shared among all involved.
The clinic was established with a multi-disciplinary care team to manage the consequences of multiple diseases instead of focusing only on a particular disease.
