KNIFE students win Vodafone brain Hunt

DOHA RATHUL Jayaprakash and Mohamed Shaheen of MES Indian School recently won the Vodafone brain Hunt quiz contest.

The contest, which was led by vision group head tomorrow and quiz master Kannu Baker, was seen by more than 2,000 students and teachers from different schools in the country.

It was held with the support of Lulu hypermarket, Malabar gold and diamonds and Qatar UAE Exchange.

A total of 228 teams participated in the selection round and the grand final was carried out with the top six teams of Delhi Public School, MES Indian School, Indian School, Indian School Doha modern Shanthinikethan, Birla Public School and ideal Indian School.

The knife team won the Championship with a score of 60 while Aswin Aditya Birla Public School A and K in the 2nd position 36 points scored.

Mohamed Fahim and Nida's DPSMIS Mugundan was third with 33 brands. In the fourth place with 30 brands were Chanakya Vishal and maintenance inspections Abishek Madana Mohanan.

Ideal Indian School students, Anirudh and Kumar Aani were fifth with a score of 28 while Ashique S and Atul Sumeshan Shanthinikethan's Indian School in the sixth position with 25 characters were.

The grand finale had six segments, English language, Tip of the tongue, facts and figures, odd one out round challenge and fast runners, with the best questions to discover the new horizons of knowledge.

The two-hour program turned out to be a delightful and knowledgeable experience for quizzes lovers like the public also racked their brains as the master quiz roped sometimes ask them by throwing at them ".

The brain Hunt show is an excellent platform for the potential of the talented young people to nurture their talent in tapping and Qatar.

Vodafone supports such initiatives to promote the quest for knowledge among students, "said Wajeeha al Hussaini, head of brand and communications on Vodafone Qatar.

The winning team and other finalist were given Apple iphones, IPods, Blackberry phones, Lulu gift voucher, trophies, souvenirs and certificates.

The distribution of the prize-giving ceremony was attended by Wajeeha a Hussaini Cindi Thomes, head of trade activity to Vodafone, Murali, head of marketing at Qatar UAE Exchange, Santhosh, country head of Malabar gold and diamond, Sanju Philips, A P Sasidharan, knife key, Addul Azeez, Secretary-General of KNIFE governing body, head of different schools and other dignitaries.
