Economic M-E Diplomacy
In 2011, a group of American hightech executives and angel investors traveled to North Africa as part of an innovative State Department economic development program. Local entrepreneurs flocked to workshops in Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria, where the Americans judged their business proposals and encouraged them to open start-ups. The initiative embodied the "economic statecraft" at the heart of Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton's vision for American foreign policy. But the program turned out to be so poorly financed that it had no prize for the winners. Embarrassed delegates cobbled one together: an internship at a start-up incubator in Detroit. US's Military Injustice
Along with a boosted Buick LeSabre, another incident listed on a crime report on Sunday in Arlington County, Va., was a creepy attack by a man on a woman. Qatar to supply Egypt up to 24 LNG cargos

DUBAI Qatar will supply Egypt with up to 24 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG) starting May 28 as the North African country struggles to meet its domestic energy needs, the first under-secretary for agreements and exploration at the Egyptian Oil Ministry said in remarks published on Wednesday. Under a swap deal, BG Group and Malaysia’s Petroliam Nasional Bhd will give Egypt about 500 million cubic feet a day of the natural gas they extract in the country to help ease fuel shortage, while Qatar Gas will send the LNG directly to the companies’ overseas customers, Tarek el Barkatawy said according to the state-owned Middle East News Agency, or MENA. Over four months Qatar will send 18 to 24 cargoes of up to 3.3 billion cubic feet of natural gas each, Barkatawy said. (DOW JONES)
