Health Center helps more than 200 people stop smoking

DOHA more than 200 patients of Al-Gharafa Health Center during the last six months have successfully taken part in the clinic is smoking cessation program.

Dr Ahmad Alhomdani, general practitioner on Al Gharafa HC, said that "one of every four people who came to us in the last six months to quit smoking, get help were successful in their goal."

The first step invites smokers to think about the benefits of a smoke-free life. The second step encourages smokers ready and occurrence of seduction and get support.

Eric Protasio, a nurse from Ras Gas Medical Centre, who smoked for 18 years, shared his experience at Al Gharafa HC, where he got support to stop the habit of smoking.

He called the non-smoking cessation clinic of ' 44174411 ' to make an appointment.

Specialists measured levels of carbon dioxide in his blood flow and gave him supplies of nicotine gum for a week.

"I kept to for consultation, but after the first visit I stopped smoking; Thanks to my will power, "he added.
